Editorial policy
Emerald World Review aims to make considered, readable work about objects, visual design and shared places. Our pages should be clear about what is known, what is interpretation and what needs correction.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable sources and take care not to present an interpretation as settled fact. We explain context where it changes the meaning of an object, image or place, and avoid claims that reach beyond the material available to us.
Independence and disclosure
Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance and clarity. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is identified plainly as such, and its relationship to a partner is disclosed near the material. A commercial relationship does not guarantee favourable editorial coverage.
Corrections
If a reader spots an error, please describe the passage and the correction through the Contact page. We review the information and correct material errors clearly; when a change substantially alters a published account, we make the correction visible to readers.
Images and illustrations
Images are chosen to support the subject and are not presented as documentary evidence unless they are. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified as illustrations rather than records of real objects or events.
