Write for us
We welcome thoughtful pitches about material culture and visual design: objects, images, maps, built places and the customs that shape how people read them. A strong proposal begins with a particular subject and a clear reason to look closer.
What to propose
We are interested in concise explainers, comparisons, visual readings, histories and essays grounded in specific examples. Choose an angle that can be handled accurately and accessibly without relying on unsupported claims or specialist advice.
A useful pitch
Tell us the working title, the central question, the main examples you would use and why the piece suits Emerald World Review. Include a short note about your approach and any relevant experience, but do not send a complete article unless requested.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Please pitch one idea at a time. We consider each proposal on its subject, clarity and fit; sending a pitch does not mean it has been accepted.
